2020 And Me

I stared at the clock for the last five minutes. The fricking mechanical sound was much clearer in midnight. In the bleak midwinter, when everyone was asleep in the layers of blanket, my eyes moved along the wavy motion of the pendulum.  At last, the time came when the clock hit the last second of the last hour of the whole 365 days. Environment was filled with sounds of fireworks as the New Year approached. A New Year, with a new energy and a new enthusiasm. I welcomed it, sat back for a moment, wandered, and then ticked out some of my bucket list goals. I went to the top, roared in the cool breeze and dared the world to stop me from achieving my goals. I, being in the last year of my college, was at the brink of university life and was equally excited for a new community and new gatherings. But... You know, things don't certainly have to go your way. COVID-19 struck, and jammed the whole world. Every institution closed, every human isolated, exams cancelled, meetings...

PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY

PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY  1. Picture of something Yellow using rule of thirds: Really fond of capturing the rise and fall. I had to crop it to fix it in rule of thirds.. and I guess it's yellow I'm not going too close because there is a bee  sitting in the flower finding pollen. 2. Picture of something blue using rule of thirds: I didn't find a good place so I put this on the floor. It was the gift from my siblings. The best thing is that it was not my Birthday and they had no means from me. 3. Picture of something using fill the frame: Today I was officially called a vendor because  I took half an hour to cleanse the oranges and decorate it.  But no one is buying from me. So, I should start eating them one by one. A place near our house. A fresh morning after drizzling. I guess it's filling the frame. 4. Picture of a building from up or down: The place named after me...LOL. The place most visited by me.  We were going for Isha prayers and then this happened. Thanks...

Image
DIAMANTE POEM F. AMIN POETIC, IMAGINATIVE SPORTING, THRIVING, IMPROVISING HUMOROUS , GUERRILLA, GORILLA, GLAMOROUS  MOCKING, CUNNING, STALKING OUT-SPOKEN, STUBBORN DEVIOUS ................................. BLOGGER The man in the picture is me(Faisal Amin) around 4 months ago. A silent, violent type person having some mystic thoughts. I'm in a struggle of exploring myself just like Michelangelo said: "Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it. I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."   This is my first ever Diamante poem specially in the English language and its an assignment. So, hoping for a soft knife.
